Cairo for Housing and Development S.A.E. -Also known as El Kahera Housing- (ELKA.CA), is a public company, founded in 1906 and has been listed for public offering in March 1995.
It operates within the Real Estate sector and its main purposes includes acquiring, selling, and leasing lands and buildings, planning and construction of infrastructure, housing, touristic and leisure facilities, city planning, as well as providing consultancy services in engineering and architecture designs. In addition, it has formed Public-Private real estate construction partnerships with Build Operate Transfer (BOT) projects.
One of its top development projects is Emerald Residence, developed in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. This project spreads over an area of 6,245 sq.m. with a built-up area of 100,000 sq.m. that includes 400 residential units, 400 car parks, a commercial area, 23 floors, 3 basement levels, offices and other related facilities and amenities.
